A 3HR FISHING TRIP FOR TOTAL BEGINNERS WHO WANT TO GET INTO LURE FISHING.

This is a fun trip designed to introduce absolute beginners to lure fishing, or help intermediate fishermen improve their casting and retrieving.

Depending on the weather we will head out on foot, to a part of the estuary or open coats that will give us the best chance of a fish, and also offer us the best protection from any poor weather conditions we might encounter.

All tuition, fishing and safety equipment is provided, and some of the skills and techniques you will learn are as follows:

Tackle - quick run through on rods and reels, and how to get tackled up so you can go and do this yourself on your own.

Knots - learn one or two useful knots that might stay with you for the rest of your fishing life, especially involving braid.!

Lures - we will teach you the difference between the main types of lures we use (soft-plastics, metals, poppers etc), and what parts of the water column they target.

Casting - learn to cast accurately and effortlessly, and most importantly, consistently, without getting into a tangle!

Retrieving - this is probably the most important skill of lure fishing, learning how to retrieve your lures in such a way that will attract the fish. This will include learning about constant tension, cranking, walking the dog, jigging, and slow retrieves.
